Ficano Stands For Retirees

While everyone was in court fighting for the rights of retirees, Wayne County Executive spoke at a press conference with Michigan AFSCME Council 25 President Al Garrett and UAW President Bob King reminding everyone that “we can’t forget on whose shoulders we stand – our seniors who have paved the road that guides us today,” said Ficano.

The press conference was organized as a result of the City of Detroit’s bankruptcy proceedings and the ultimate question as to whether the City has the constitutional obligation to honor its pension commitment.
